What is a self-published book?

A self-published book is one which the writer has paid to have produced.

How do I get started on jexbo™?

First you'll need to login. From the top of the homepage, follow the login link to join jexbo. You'll receive a confirmation email. Be sure to check your spam mail folder if an email from jexbo doesn't arrive in your in-box shortly after joining. If you do not receive a confirmation email from jexbo, please email us at support@jexbo.com and we will activate your account. You should also look through the Terms of Use document that is listed at the bottom of each page.

What if I'm not able to login?

NOTE: We're working on this right now to be sure things are working smoothly. Before you can login, you must click the link from the confirmation email (if the link is wrapped over two lines, you have to re-assemble the link). Your password is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as it was given on account creation. If you're still having any trouble activating your account, please email us at support@jexbo.com and we'll be happy to activate your account for you.

Can anyone join jexbo?

Yes, anyone can join and search the books listed on jexbo. Buyers and sellers must be over the age of 18 (or have parental permission).

Can I close my account?

How do I search for a book?

Our site has a search field at the top of the homepage that will search our database for a book title or key word. You can also use the listing on the left panel to look for a book. All books are categorized by genre and broken down by subcategories. Please note that using key words to search for books of interest may not return the specific results you are seeking; key words may identify broader and more general items. You could try adding more search terms to narrow your search.

How do I use the forum?

The forum is a useful board where members can share ideas and opinions on their favorite books, this site in general, help topics by other members, best techniques for shipping (useful if you are a seller), and many other things. But as already stated, to take advantage of the forum, you have to be a member.

To access the forum, type your user name and password into the corresponding fields, and you'll be taken to your member account panel. Go back to the forum and choose a topic. If you would like to post a topic, click on the "Post a Reply" link, write your post and then click on the "Post your Reply" link to post it.

How do I buy a book?

To buy a book, you must first be logged in. Then you may either search for a book title using the search field or by navigating the left panel. All books are sectioned by genre and subcategory.

Once you find the book or books wanted, add them to the shopping cart. The system will ask for your username and password to access your account, and the book you selected will be added to your shopping cart. From there, follow the checkout pages, and you're done.

How do I reset my password?

Go to the login page in the right hand column titled "Need Help Logging in?", click on "Reset my Password"; you will be directed to a page where you can fill in your jexbo username and email address. We will send you an email to which you will need to reply; we will then send you a temporary password. Use the temporary password to create your new jexbo password.

Does jexbo print books?

No, jexbo is a site for authors who have already had their books printed to list their books for sale.

Does jexbo recommend a publishing house?

No, jexbo doesn't endorse any specific publishing groups. If you have questions or need advice, check out the jexbo forums. You can leave a message telling your experiences with different publishers, or ask for information about finding a publisher for your books.
